News ReleaseJune 30, 2008 OH BABY! GET READY FOR MEADOW GOLD’S 55th ANNUAL HEALTHY BABY CONTEST
HONOLULU — Meadow Gold Dairies’ annual Healthy Baby Contest has been an island tradition since 1953. The contest gives proud parents the opportunity to showcase their healthy keiki in a setting that promotes health and nutrition. “We are pleased to be hosting our 55th annual Healthy Baby Contest,” said Joni Marcello, assistant sales manager of Meadow Gold Dairies. “The contest helps raise community awareness about the importance of teaching children proper intuition at and early age to help them establish lifelong habits for a healthy lifestyle.” Each year, hundreds of toddlers compete for the title of Oahu’s healthiest baby. They are judged on physical appearance, healthiness and personality, with each category scored on a 50-point scale. The five place winners are awarded a U.S. savings bond ranging from $2,500 to $500 as well as numerous toys and prizes from Meadow Gold Dairies of Hawaii. The annual Meadow Gold Healthy Baby Contests, in partnership with the Honolulu Chinese Jaycees, helps raise community awareness of the importance of teaching children good health and nutrition habits at an early age. Establishing proper habits starting in early childhood can lead to a healthy lifestyle. The neighbor island Healthy Baby Contests are held in conjunction with the county fairs; dates for registration vary. Please visit www.lanimoo.com for additional information.
